Personal Description: I am a 25 year old male who is currently working as a trainee chartered accountant in Norwich city centre. I am married and live with my wife of (almost) 2 years in Hellesdon, Norwich. I enjoy sports, especially football and am an avid Charlton Athletic supporter. I will be looking to start training to be a secondary school Maths teacher in September next year, so I have a passion for Maths.
I have also spent two years in German as a missionary for my church, so have a fluent grasp of the German language and grammar. I also used this as a part of my degree which I obtained in June 2008.

Tutoring Experience: I have had brief experience tutoring GCSE German to private school students when I was living back in Kent. This was about 18 months to two years ago now and I have missed the excitement of teaching new and challenging concepts to young minds

Tutoring Approach: I am quite laid back and approachable, so will hopefully be able to build up a good rapport from the start. I like to let the student use their intellect in attempting to solve challenging tasks. This way they build up confidence in their own abilities and rely less on my knowledge and understanding. I also prefer using the subject materials that the student obtains from school to reinforce what is being taught in the classroom and to provide additional support and clarification - this way the tutoring supplements what is already being taught at the school as well as adding value to it.

Qualifications:

• BSc (Hons) Mathematics with German (1st Class) - University of Greenwich
• 3 A-Levels (excl. General Studies)
• 1 AS-Level
• 11.5 GCSEs (all grade A*-B)
