Frequently Asked Questions by Tutees

  1. At what point do I have to pay?

Only when you have chosen to accept a tutor's offer of tuition do we charge a one-off £4.99-19.99* introduction fee. It is free to search, browse and contact music teachers. You must pay your tutor their hourly rate directly.

  2. How do I choose a music teacher?

Please see our article, Which Music Teacher? for guidance.

  3. Do you CRB check music teachers?

No. The music teacher profiles are written by the tutors themselves. We would recommend tutees request to see a CRB certificate and any other declared qualifications at the beginning of the first lesson.

  4. How do I contact the music teachers?

Contact a prospective music teacher free of charge by becoming a member. Once your tutor has received and accepted your request we will release their contact details at your request, conditional upon you paying a one-off £4.99-19.99* fee. We also e-mail the tutor your details simultaneously so you can both contact one another.

  5. I have not heard from a music teacher and wish to release their details.

It may be your tutor is on holiday or temporarily unavailable. We contact all music teachers as soon as you make your enquiry but cannot force them to respond. We would always recommend contacting more than one tutor.
