Personal Description: I am an enthusiastic musician and I enjoy sharing and communicating through music-making!

I am an active chamber musician and also freelance with several professional orchestras in London.

Tutoring Experience: • Individual lessons on Bassoon (beginners to advanced level), Mini-Bassoon, Clarinet (beginners) and Recorder (beginners)

• Tutor on a 3-day music course with adults amateur Wind Ensembles
• Deputy teacher in Music Theory and Ear Training in Music Conservatoire

Tutoring Approach: My teaching method is based on my own studying experience (in Portugal and in the UK) as well as a specialized teaching training in the UK - Kodaly (relative solfa) and Dalcroze (movement). These are very good methods for Ear Training and pulse/rhythm purposes and, therefore can be very effective on learning an instrument!

Qualifications:

• MMus in Advanced Performance Studies - Bassoon - at the Royal College of Music.
• Diploma in Advanced Music Studies at Oporto Music Conservatoire, Portugal.
