Personal Description:
I am a graduate of Southampton University with over 20yrs all round experience in musical performance, education and working within the music industry.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught and developed courses for electronic keyboard and piano, organised music festivals and competitions at local, national and international level. My teaching encompasses all styles of music and all age groups from beginners to advanced to hobbyists. My experience offers tuition for Keyboard,Piano and Electronic Organ, Acoustic and Classical Guitar. GCSE/A Level syllabus support. Harmony -Traditional to Jazz and Contemporary. Arranging and Composition. Making the most of your keyboard.
Tutoring Approach:
Always a relaxed and friendly environment and approach. It is, however, important and possible to set challenges for students, whatever their musical goals whilst offering an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Where requested or as a regular benchmark for musical development, examination grades are offered. During the course of a student's musical education their needs and aspirations may change and it is my role to offer the flexibility and support to develop the strengths and talents of the musician to fulfil their needs and guide them in the right direction.
