Personal Description: Since the age of 12 I've been a student of music, and over the years have gained valuable experience playing with artists, bands and even my own work that spans across the majority of musical genres. I recently graduated with a BA (hons) Degree in Contemporary Popular Music from ACM in Guildford where I completed a 4 year collage degree majoring in electric bass. Other than bass I also play double bass, guitar, keys, and own a small home studio where i record my own work and get students involved in what studio situations are like. I gig regularly in function and original projects as well as having the opportunities to do regular session work for latvian pop star 'Meldra Guza'. Over the years of trying to discover my strongest writing style its brought me to focus mainly within jazz and jazz/funk. Regardless of this I find myself a strong player in the majority of musical genres, writing also in metal and rock bands I regularly perform with. Alot of my inspiration comes from film scores/soundtracks, so whilst at University I used my dissertation project to compose and develop myself in that area of composing.

Tutoring Experience: I started teaching privately in my last year on University and have been gaining students ever since. The idea is to make it a large part of my career as I've found it to be equally as rewarding if not more so to performing.

Tutoring Approach: My approach is to focus on what the student wants and needs to know, regardless of how serious they pursue a career in music. Once the fundamentals are taken care of, then the focal point can be on what the student desires to learn. I cover harmony and theory, technique, arranging, composition, history, and anything else I happen to know that will benefit the improvement of any of my students.
