Personal Description: Ex co - principal cello with London Philharmonic Orchestra.
First call second cello for Melos Ensemble Chamber Music.
Founder member of Syrinx Chamber Group numerous concerts for Britsh Council and Broadcasts for the BBC.
Studied with James Whitehead and Antoni Pini of the Royal Opera House.
First call continuo with LPO at Glyndebourne.
Tutoring Experience: Seven years as professor of cello at Conservatorio do Algarve, Portugal.
Member of Arts support service, Nottinghamshire.
Numerous private pupils.
Because of above experience, can teach all ages and abilities.
Tutoring Approach: Informal, private tution.
I place great emphasis on playing with my students as I find this helps enormously with intonation and rhythm.
I use the Associated Board for people wishing to do graded exams.
Qualifications:
