Personal Description: I have been performing and tutoring from a very young age. I am comfortable and experianced in most popular styles of music as well as experienced in many genres including Classical, Jazz, Contemporary and Traditional & World Music.

I am also skilled in Sound Engineering & Production coupled with Foley work. I have had many years of experience in this field and has worked on various recordings including computer game demos, advert demos and theatre sound installations, which have included my composition skills and music production skills which include assisting artists within a practice and studio enviroment on sound, composition, structure and technique

I also currently run DM Percussion, which is my company which specialises in the custom manufacturing, design, repair, maintenance and refurbishment of percussive instruments.

Tutoring Experience: I have provided Percussion tuition for many years, with some of my students progessing into higher music and successfull local bands.

Moreover, I have ran workshops and single lessons for school pupils and group lessons on the drum kit and percussion. I have also taught in the school orchestras.

I have also worked with primary pupils teaching percussion in workshops where after this was a feature in the end of year display.

I have also tutored snare, bass and tenor drum in several pipe and bugle bands.

Tutoring Approach: I provide personalized tuition to individuals via one-to-one, and to ensembles or groups via workshops.
Each lesson is tailored to suit your or your child’s needs in a relaxed manner.

Tuition can also include SQA(Standard Grade, Int I/II/III, Higher & Advanced Higher), Nq and HNC/D syllabus, including both theory and practical and tuition on tecnique, instrment maintinence and band/stage craft.
