Personal Description: I have been playing electric guitar since I was 15 and took GCSE music as one of my options at high school. Before playing guitar I had keyboard lessons and learned to read music but as soon as I heard bands like Iron Maiden, Poison and Bon Jovi to name but a few I just had to play guitar! I have a passion for all things guitar and just want to pass on my skills and knowledge to help other people learn this fantastic and versatile instrument!

Tutoring Experience: I have been teaching guitar for the last 12 months, quite a few of my students were total beginners when they first started with little or no knowledge of music or the guitar itself but are now able to play quite well. I am a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors and am available to teach the RGT Grades and can also help students with composing and recording their own material as well as learning music theory.

Tutoring Approach: My Lessons are tailored individually for each students needs although I always try to include some theory in my teaching so that the student gets a good grounding in this area that will help them progress much more quickly, I also try to teach songs that are within reach of the students ability and that will teach them or improve certain techniques or areas of their playing. I try to encourage students to bring in music by their favourite band/artist/guitarist that they would like to learn and i always try to teach material that the student is more likely to be interested in so that they will be more likely to practice instead of being disinterested.
