Personal Description: I have always loved learning foreign languages and using them whenever I can, whether that's in a professional capacity or for fun. I think it's important to have a go at trying your languages as often as possible without worrying too much about making mistakes. I am highly motivated. I'm excited at the prospect of learning new things and have taken individual language lessons several times over the years and know how enjoyable they can be.

Teaching Experience: I have had a varied career in arts administration spanning 25 years. I am a qualified TEFL teacher (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and have taught groups of foreign students, prepared GCSE and A level students for exams in French and organised and participated in French, Italian and German conversation sessions.

Teaching Approach: Each session is tailored to the needs of the student. I cover all aspects of language learning, specialising in speaking (pronunciation, fluency, naturalness) and listening (aural exercises, dictation work). As a qualified translator I also offer training in translation techniques.
