Personal Description: I am 21 years old, female, and currently a student at Oxford University studying Classics, starting my fourth and final year in October, and am likely to be applying for a PGCE course to become a teacher, starting in September 2010. I am generally fairly relaxed and easygoing, though I can be quite a perfectionist; and I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people, and like to think I usually get on well with them.

Teaching Experience: I have done three weeks' work experience in primary schools, and often tutored those younger than me who needed extra help on an informal basis.

Teaching Approach: I am often very problem-solving orientated, so before tutoring like to discuss with the tutee what is most difficult, or what he/she is struggling with, and then focus specifically on those points rather than a more general approach teaching all subject matter; unless this is specifically required or requested. I tend to be fairly easygoing, and try to work through problems thoroughly and slowly if needs be, rather than attempting to push too hard or move through topics at a faster pace.

• A Level: A in Biology, Classical Civilisation, English Literature, Latin, Maths
• GCSE: A* in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, French, History, Latin, Maths, Physics; A in ICT; B in Graphic Design
