Information About Daniel

Personal Description: A professionally qualified Accountant (ACCA) with over 10 years experience delivering tution at degree, post graduate levels and also covering professional courses (ACCA, CAT, ABE etc). My greatest strength lies in being able to pitch at the right level when delivering a presentation or explaining models, precepts to my clients (both home students and international students mostly with English as their second language). My unique strategy is getting the students to understand the relevant core principles in simple clear English. This ensures that unnecessary complexities are removed thus facilitating the attainment of good grades. This approach always ensures that i am able to manage a variety of situations at different levels of difficulty at all times hence a win-win situation for all - Value For Money

Training Specialisms: My lecturing experience covers Book keeping, Financial & Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Business Management & Strategy etc Having previously been involved in business management software consultancy i also provide practical training programmes in the use of Accounting softwares like Quick Books, Sage Accounts Professional (formerly Sage Line 50) from a complete novice to expert level.

Again the unique strategy of training ensures the students and/or clients get a first hand experience on how to apply the theoretical concepts learnt from their Academic studies to the working environment. The aim is to equip trainees with the much needed practical skills by helping them to:

Understand how to prepare and handle business documents
Preparation of management report packs and their interpretation

All these are carried out in a 'fun and relaxed environment' using office simulated documents

Training Methods: For both Academic & Profdessional Programmes - I use a combination of the recommended text books and my own prepared summarised lecture notes / power point presentations. These are loaded with exam focussed topics and questions which i go through with the students to give them the needed confidence to pass the exams. The aim is to make them 'candidates' and not just 'students' thus more attention is devoted on equipping them with the tools to pass the examinations with good grades.

PRACTICAL TRAINING - QUICK BOOKS / SAGE ACCOUNTS PROFESSIONAL

Office simulated documents are used i.e. 'live' sales and purchase invoices, receipts, petty cash vouchers, bank statements etc to ensure they really grasp the flow of documents in an accounting system of an organisation.
