Personal Description: I have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember. I have been earning a living from drawing and painting for the past 23 years along side my career as a graphic designer, I have a passion for drawing and painting an love passing on my knowledge to others wishing to learn. I am an accomplished portrait artist and a published cartoonist.

Teaching Experience: I have not been teaching for long. At the moment I am teaching a number of students both drawing and watercolour painting at beginner and intermediate level, I also have lessons booked for beginners acrylic painting. The feedback I get from present learners is that they thoroughly enjoy the learning experience and can see improvement in their work.

Teaching Approach: I like to plan structured lessons with clear aims and objectives. By doing this I believe the learner has clear goals and knows what is expected. The learner should never be unsure of what is to be done as I always give demonstrations before I ask them to complete a practical exercise. The emphasis of the lessons is on enjoyment in a relaxed teaching environment.

• Over 23 years as an illustrator and artist
• BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design
