Information About Emma

Personal Description: I have had my own business since I graduated from The Royal College of Art in 2004. I have produced uniforms for Samsung, Virgin Media, Virgin Mobile, Camel, Benson and Hedges, Mayfair. I have had exhibitions at The Victoria and Albert Museum, sold works to the Bank of America and GlaxoSmithKline. Fashion clients include Vanity Fair, H&M, Uniqlo, Lindex, Cheryl Cole, Matthew Williamson, Pucci, Betty Jackson, Kate Spade and Universal Island Records for James Morrison (stylist and creative for his 'Slave to the Music' video, out in Feb 2012).

I am currently working on a collection of interior peices for a member of the Royal family - which is extreemly exciting and an honour. I also have a handbag/accessories collection, I already supply this particluar design mainly to Arabs and Russians. A customised service is available - giving clients exactly what they want.

Teaching Experience: I first started teaching at 23 years old at Nottingham Trent university on their MA textile design course as a visiting lecturer. I now have various students of all ages. Starting at a young girl at 6 years old - teaching her basic arts and crafts on s weekly basis after school, right through to teaching a 65 years old studying for an MA in textiles.

Some students are dyslexic/dispraxic. I also have experiance teaching students with severe learning difficulties.

I am able to bring out the best side of my students and nurture their talents individually and in a group. Each student has progressed in their chosen art/textile/fashion/writing direction. I love teaching and it shows by my students results.

I am also used to teach at 'Eton' on a part time basis - Textiles GCSE level.

I love working with children and my arty classes are allot of fun. In every class the children are able to be proud of their art work and have the understanding to then relay all the information learnt back. The classes eductated children about colour, shape, form, textures and compositions as well as learning about old and new artists and techniques.

Teaching Approach: Do you have a personal message for students?

Hello! I am Emma and I teach art, arts and crafts, fashion, fashion history, fashion styling and textiles. I have a interactive and fun approach to tutoring. I have many contacts within the industry and also can take you out on day trips for inspiration and market research. I firmly believe that there is a technique to teach each and every student. I like to have an introduction so we can get to know each other first and find out your talents. Each lesson is tailored to suit you and your pace - and having fun at the same time!

Why wait and dream to be that next top designer/artist when you can start to be that person today!

I look forward to talking and teaching you.
