Personal Description: I am 32 years old and have an excellent range of qualifications ranging from A Levels to a Masters Degree. I have been a visual artist for 10 years and have had 20 exhibitions in the last two years. These have included Sheffield and London and internationally in the Tehran Biennial 2008. I am also a curator and my most recent major show was at the Contemporary Urban Centre in Liverpool showcasing over 60 ermerging artists. I am willing to travel to homes and can also accommodate lessons in my home. I have a current CRB Check and public liability insurance which can be seen on request.
Teaching Experience: I have a full Teacher Training qualification and have been teaching for eight years. I have worked with a range of abilities and qualifications including Further Education, 14-19 year olds and adult classes. I run art courses at Coventry Arts Centre for the University of Warwick, these include 'Art Techniques from Different Cultures' and 'Marketing for Artists'. I also run art workshops for young children and adults. I have also been the Head of Department for Art & Design.
Teaching Approach: My teaching has proved excellent pass rates for my students. I have a very good rapport with students and help them progress through a friendly, non-judgmental approach. I am very dedicated to helping learners through the pressures of learning and helping them realize their potential with confidence and eagerness. I thoroughly enjoy teaching my passion of Art and I set out for my students to enjoy it too.
