Personal Description: I am a freelance textile designer and all round creative. I have just completed a masters degree in Textile Design and Innovation at Nottingham Trent University and am setting up my own business producing interior textiles. I also run workshops periodically at schools and universities.
My mother is a Cordon Bleu trained chef and I have cooked all my life, from fairy cakes at 3 to complex 4 course meals now, and I love food and cooking! I occasionally cater for private drinks and dinner parties, cooking all the food either beforehand at my own house or at the clients house on the night.

Teaching Experience: I have taught abroad in the past, teaching chemistry, maths and english and have been involved in assisting with textile related classes. I have assisted my mother in the past when she used to run private cooking classes from her kitchen.

Teaching Approach: I am patient and knowledgeable about my subjects. Used to dealing with small children, teenagers and adults alike, I am happy to help at any level required, from learning to thread up a sewing machine or cook pasta, to much more complex requests.

For textiles I can help you to learn the basics of hand or machine sewing (I have a machine), teach you to make cushions or lampshades for your home, or help with designing a bespoke print that can then be digitally repeated (I can teach you enough photoshop to do this or I can do it for you outside the lesson), and then digitally printed for use in your home. I draw, paint, lino cut, screen print and am more than happy to try and accommodate any sort of request.

Cookery wise, I can help with the absolute basics if you're unsure of yourself in the kitchen or can teach you to put together a brilliant 3 course meal for a dinner party, or anything in between!
