Personal Description: I have been a freelance writer for the past 10 years. SWEETHEART BINGO, my first feature length comedy screenplay
was optioned . Subsequent commissions include, the development of a feature length drama,
CAMBRIDGE CURRY, for Asian Pictures International; a feature length comedy; a series of comedy sketches for BBC radio 4 (after winning the Writing for Radio competition at the Leicester Comedy Festival); an original drama,

In addition, I was awarded a U.K. Arts Council grant to research and write a radio play about The Jalianwala Bagh Massacre, and interview writers about their writing methods, and subsequently produce a web blog.
Teaching Experience: I have tutored creative writing, with an emphasis on screenwriting, at the Midlands Arts Centre, taking my students from script to screen. In addition, I provide English Literature tuition.
Teaching Approach: I have an enthusiastic and encouraging approach to tutoring creative writing and understand the importance of building up my student's self-confidence in their writing. I also try to take steps to get their work either read or performed if possible, and locate support to enable them to continue with their writing, through writer's groups etc. Currently I am not in Birmingham but am available for **Contact Detail Removed** video on-line tutoring sessions.
