Personal Description: I am a qualified teacher of Art and Design, and work as a full time Art teacher at a secondary school in central Auckland. Currently I teach from Year 9 through to Year 13 and scholarship level. I have also worked with in the design industry for 10 years previous to teaching and am a fully qualified Graphic Designer.

Tutoring Experience: My subjects of expertise are drawing and illustration, photography and painting. I am well informed of NCEA standards and assessment criteria, and the skills required to improve the student’s grades. I have also moderated and taught at tertiary level, as well as teach night classes to adult learners.
I am proficient with software such as, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills.

Tutoring Approach: Sometimes drawing and Art can seem impossible but there are simple techniques that can dramatically change your work. Once you have worked through these techniques, the results can be outstanding.

Qualifications:

• BCGD Hon. Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design with Honors.
• Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary).
• Member of NZDI and ASATA.
