Personal Description: I am 57 years old,British born but resident in New Zealand since the beginning of 1997. Three adult children, my wife died recently .I have lots of experience as a writer,I work as a feature writer for a British-based sports website and I have had lots of articles published on the web and in the print media.Very interested in drama, I was one of the co-founders of Bogwood Productions , a leading company in Northland, with an emphasis on Shakespeare.

Tutoring Experience: Very experienced teacher of English. I have been teaching English since 1983, in the UK, Sierra Leone and New Zealand. I was , until recently, Head of English at Kamo High School, Whangarei. Previously I have been Head of English at Bream Bay College, Ruakaka, Head of Drama at Ruawai College and Head of Sixth Form Studies at King Edward VII College, Coalville, Leicestershire, England.

Tutoring Approach: I would be very thorough in terms of grammar and spelling, but sympathetic to the needs of those who experience difficulties in these areas.

Qualifications:

• Master of Arts in English and European Renaissance Drama from the University of Warwick, England
