Personal Description: Originally from India (where I've taught for nearly 25 years), I reside in Tauranga as an NZ citizen. I have fluent English. I am a passionate teacher, dedicated to assisting my students bring out their full potential. I acheive this through expert communication, patient guidance, sensitive and empathic encouragement and carefully structured teaching plan tailored to individual requirements. The result is that my students not only gain greater effective command over the subject but also develop increased self-confidence for the immediate pressures of the examination at hand and a solid base upon which to build in the future.

Tutoring Experience: Twenty five years of very fruitful and successful teaching/tutoring, both inside and outside the classroom, with happy students numbering in their thousands.

Tutoring Approach: I make an initial assessment of the goals of the student and his/her current abilities and shortcomings. I discuss my understanding of these with my student and his/her parent or guardian and suggest a plan to address immediate needs as well as prepare for medium or long term goals. With goals and study plans in place, I take my student through his/her paces in the subject matter, not only explaining concepts and ensuring he/she understand them but also giving him/her sufficient hands on practice. Where needed, I hold mock tests and assist the student achieve both speed and accuracy in the subject so that the examination itself, when it comes, proves a relatively easy experience.
