Personal Description:

I am currently attending my first year at the University of Alberta with a major in linguistics. I graduated from St. Joseph High School with a final mark of 86% in English in the International Baccalaureate program and a 90 on the English Diploma.

Tutoring Experience:

I have not tutored before but I have extensive experience working with children and teenagers from my internship at Kids in the Spotlight for the past five years. I have experience with a wide array of high school English texts, and can provide guidance and lessons on identifying symbols, motifs, and themes throughout texts, annotation, and essay writing.

Tutoring Approach:

I will work alongside students and guide them on the path to discovering solutions to their problems on their own. When explaining concepts I like to work in a way that is creative, such as through pictures or videos, as well as using online resources.
